EXAMINATION SUCCESS FOR MOSSLEY HOLLINS’ STUDENTS
The staff and governors of Mossley Hollins High School are delighted to congratulate our Year 11 students (The Class of 2026) on their excellent performance in this year’s GCSE examinations. This cohort has shown real determination, ambition and character, and we are thrilled to celebrate their achievements.
We are very pleased that almost 70% of students achieved a strong pass in English, and that over 73% achieved a standard pass in both English and mathematics, opening the door to Level 3 courses at college and a wide range of future opportunities. We are especially proud of our students with special educational needs, who have worked incredibly hard to overcome barriers to their learning and secure strong grades.
There were some truly exceptional individual performances.
We are equally delighted to recognise students who have made astonishing progress across their five years at Mossley Hollins. Tamsin Francis, Charlie Bertenshaw, Bartek Gielo, Belle Forrest, Max Buckley, Leighton Taylor, Stevie Gee, Grace Warburton and Sana Haqbeen have all worked exceptionally hard—often in very challenging circumstances—and have achieved well.
As always, we are immensely proud of our students. Despite the difficulties of recent years, they have shown resilience, commitment and a willingness to rise to every challenge. Their results now give them the confidence and qualifications to move forward into education, training or employment.
Achievement this year has been particularly strong in a range of subjects, including Separate Sciences, Drama, History, Physical Education and Statistics. We are especially pleased with the number of students achieving grade 7 and above in Drama, Food Technology, Religious Studies, Biology, Physics and Statistics.
Mrs Din would like to thank parents and families for their unwavering support and encouragement, and to express her gratitude to all staff for their hard work and dedication in supporting our students.
