Weather: School Closure Provision

Please note : Mossley Hollins will remain open for staff and students wherever possible so that no learning time is missed. Please check the school website as we update it regularly on days when bad weather is forecast. 

If closure is unavoidable we will do everything we can to inform parents as soon as possible using the following communication methods –   

• My Child at School App – For safety and security reasons we strongly encourage all parents and carers to download the My Child at School app.

• E mail 
• SMS text messages

• Local Radio -Hits Radio and Tameside Radio  

Absence Due to Bad Weather  

If the school is open but your child is unable to get to school due to the weather conditions please ring 01457 832491, then select option 2 – attendance,    

Early School Closure Due to Bad Weather 

In very rare circumstances we may need to close the school and send students home before the normal time. If we do this we will send a text to inform you.
