Learning in the Curriculum

Mossley Hollins provides an ambitious, rich, broad and balanced curriculum which is designed to meet the needs of all students and equip them for life in modern society. Whilst we are proud to promote a curriculum with academic rigour our curriculum also promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural and physical development of all students and develops their capacity to become lifelong learners. The school is committed to providing a full range of opportunities both within and beyond the academic curriculum in order to develop each student as an active and kind citizen with the knowledge, skills, understanding, cultural capital opportunities and personal and character development to take up her or his part in the local community and in society.

Our ambition is to support each student to learn and live with confidence and a more positive outlook on just what can be done as an individual, family member, worker and fully-fledged member of our communities.
