The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is an enjoyable, challenging and rewarding personal development programme for young people. The Award was introduced at Mossley Hollins ten years ago in order that our own students could benefit from all that it offers.
The Award operates in three main sections:
Bronze (for those aged 14 and over)
Silver (for those aged 15 and over)
Gold (for those aged 16 and over)
Please note the Bronze award is offered to Year 9 students, whilst the Silver award is offered to Year 10 students. We do not run the gold award at school, but pupils have successfully completed this award whilst studying at Ashton Sixth Form College.
