It is proven that exercise has significant effects on both your physical health and your mental health. Exercise improves physical health by helping people to keep fit and lose excess body weight – it also helps to increase muscle tone and size. Exercise has significant impacts on improvements in mental health as it can help to reduce stress and anxiety. It can also improve your self-confidence when completing challenges and demonstrates your resilience in completing them. Exercising at home is very important for all pupils, parents, carers and family members to ensure that we can maintain our own physical and mental health in the current situation we find ourselves in.

Each day, Joe Wicks has been inspiring the nation to keep fit at home and his 30 minute workouts are simple and effective – lots of fun too. Please schedule exercise into your new daily routine – our students in school, whose parents or carers are key workers, are participating each morning too.
